This Privacy Policy describes how the Prime QR and Barcode Scanner application (“the App”) operates with respect to your information. The App is designed with a privacy-first approach: all core functionality runs entirely on your device. No personal data is collected, stored on external servers, or sold to third parties by the App itself.

- Data the App Stores Locally on Your Device
The App stores the following data exclusively on your device’s local storage. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to the App developer:
- Scan History: The content of QR codes and barcodes you scan (e.g., URLs, text, product codes) is saved to a local database on your device only.
- Favorites: Items you mark as favorites are stored locally on your device.
- Consent Preference: Your advertising consent choice (personalized or non-personalized ads) is stored locally on your device.
You can delete all locally stored scan history at any time from within the App’s History screen. Uninstalling the App permanently removes all locally stored data.

- Permissions the App Requests
2.1 Camera
Camera access is requested solely to scan QR codes and barcodes in real time. Camera images are processed entirely on your device using on-device machine learning (Google ML Kit). No camera images or video are stored, uploaded, or transmitted.
2.2 Screen Capture (Media Projection)
The optional On-Screen Scanner feature captures your screen to detect QR codes or barcodes visible in other apps. Screen captures are processed locally and immediately discarded after scanning. No screen capture data is stored, uploaded, or transmitted.
2.3 Display Over Other Apps (Overlay)
This permission is required only to display the floating scanner bubble on your screen. It is used for no other purpose.
2.4 Internet
Internet access is required by Google AdMob (the third-party advertising service) to display ads within the App, and to submit optional user feedback through the in-app feedback form.
2.5 Vibration
Vibration is used to provide haptic feedback when a scan is successfully detected.

- Third-Party Advertising (Google AdMob)
The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements as a means of offering the App for free. Google AdMob is an independent third-party service and operates under its own privacy policy. AdMob may collect certain information to serve relevant ads, including:
- Device advertising ID
- IP address (used to determine general geographic region)
- Device model and operating system version
Before any advertising data is collected, the App will ask for your consent in accordance with GDPR and other applicable privacy regulations. You may choose to receive non-personalized ads if you prefer. Your consent preference can be changed at any time through the App’s Settings.
